Queen Pageant

Objective
To crown an International Festival Queen as an ambassador of goodwill for the Nationalities Council of Indiana (NCI). She will maintain her position as Queen for a period of one year effective immediately following the coronation.
Reigning Queen & Court Expectations
- She must represent NCI and herself with integrity and dignity. If she does not comply, the First Runner Up will automatically become Queen and the crown will be given to her.
- She must do her part in promoting NCI in areas of community involvement, media and interviews, Indy 500 parade when NCI participates, Carmel July 4th parade when NCI participates, Indy International Festival, NCI Summer Gala Fundraiser and Queen Pageant, and other activities as organized and agreed upon with Queen and Court.
- Promote herself professionally on social media and support digital advertising efforts through the NCI International Festival Queen social media platforms.
- Runner-up and Court Members will also be invited for follow-up events and appearances.
CONTEST RULES
- The candidate must be female between the ages of 16-23 years old.
- One candidate per active member club.
- Knowledge about the Nationalities Council of Indiana mission
- Knowledgeable about their country’s customs and traditions
- Previous Queens (not to include Runner-ups) may not compete a second time
APPLICATION PROCESS
- Submit your personal biography and color photo with your application by October 19, 2025. Late entries or incomplete information will not be accepted. Biography will be used during presentation at pageant.
- Please include a list of your community involvement / volunteerism and share what you hope to accomplish educationally for your future. Also include what your culture means to you and what you hope to contribute toward its future.
Judging & Awards Information
There will be three to five judges who will determine the winners based on the criteria listed below. The judges must not have any ties to the candidates.
CRITERIA
The candidate who garners the highest composite score will be declared the 2025-2026 NCI International Festival Queen based on the following categories. In the event of a tie, the judges will review the criteria with the top two candidates.
- Traditional Dress 25%
- Talent 25%
- Evening Gown 25%
- Public Speaking 25%
AWARDS
Three candidates will be crowned and receive a title sash, arm bouquet of flowers, and cash prize.
